Clark states, of his practice, “Painting outdoors allows me the freedom to explore the British Columbia landscape and every year I map out a couple of road trips, hope for good weather and set off in search of new paintings. It is from these journeys that the title for this show gets its name. This exhibition showcases two bodies of work, one created in my studio with acrylics on canvas and the other painted on site with oils on panel. These small panels provide both a historical document of my travels and the source material for studio works. I’ve found plein air painting can be a major adventure and when the going is good, it is pure magic.”
