Island Mountain Arts

Susan Madsen is a Vancouver based figurative artist. She holds an MFA in painting, having worked passionately with oils for the last 20 years.  Her meticulous style is informed by the study of art history and the figure, while her love of travel brings the influence of northern European painting and Indian miniatures to her work. She has worked in the theatre as a set designer, and has been an active board member of CARFAC BC for many years. Susan has shown her work across Canada, in the USA and Europe and is currently represented by Pacini Lubel gallery in Seattle.
