Concert – Raghu Lokanathan & Corwin Fox

The Island Mountain Arts Public Gallery is pleased to announce the upcoming concert of Raghu Lokanathan and Corwin Fox on Wednesday, June 4th. 

Victoria’s Corwin Fox is well-known for his masterful lyric and melody writing and his unique style of highly contagious personal and political folk songs will have you singing along before you even realize it. In addition to his own musical career that has spanned four albums, Corwin is a sought after music producer, spending much of his time over the last few years recording and producing independent musicians such as Shane Philip, Sarah Metzner, Mamaguroove and Glenna Garramone.

Songwriter and singer Raghu Lokanathan’s music is considered classic folk, however he has delved into many other areas of music.  In 2006, he decided to step back from the touring and recording and stayed in Prince George where he played in a roots music duo called the Cottonweeds, hosting a weekly fiddle music jam, as well as teaching and working up some new songs in a rock band.  He has one album out called Caledonia and it was described as “…a charming collection of songs about some very peculiar characters…” by Sing Out magazine.  In September 2007 he moved back to Victoria to begin recording and touring again.
