From the summer of 2001 to the spring of 2002, Island Mountain Arts sponsored an important research study into the status and needs of artists in northern BC. The research included a series of 14 round-table discussions with more than 100 visual artists, writers, musicians, woodworkers, harp music practitioners and arts administrators. Meetings were held in Quesnel, Prince George, Williams Lake, Horsefly and Vancouver.
The research was co-ordinated by consultant Judy Campbell, Ecogistics Consulting, Wells and was prepared for Human Resources Development Canada.
