Isn’t it a pain when you can’t get decent shot of  your masterpiece and hey who can afford that “professional shoot”.   Well this course will lay the ground work for you to take sensational photos of your work and hopefully get you into all kinds of exhibitions and shows.  We’ll start by looking at how to prep your art for the photo shoot then move on to setting the camera and lights (which is dependent on what you are shooting).  We’ll cover some camera basics, lighting, exposure, and colour – ah yes colour what a concept.
Once we have some shots we will look at post processing (modifying your photo on the computer) and how to prep your photos to get a good slides made as well as prepping them for your website.  Feel free to bring an “objet d’Art”  you want to shoot!
None  TECHNICAL.  No computer geekiness  needed.  In fact a lot of what we cover works with a film camera (remember those?) We will use a  computer to manipulate what you have shot but you could get a friend to do it!  PS you don’t have to have taken either of the beginner or advanced digital courses.

Carl Anderson was born in Grand Forks, and lives in Vancouver. Initially pursuing a technical career in Physics and Electronics, his life changed when he went blind at age 37. Lucky enough to regain his sight, Carl also gained insight, feeling the need to touch and see the reality around him. His photographic work is about sight and how the simple things you see in everyday life can be special, unique, full of wonder, yet are routinely bypassed.
