This course will provide you with some invaluable songwriting tools (not rules) and techniques I have learned during my own studies in songwriting. We will focus on object writing, brainstorming, lyric writing, the relationship between music and lyric, unblocking your creative energy, and on co-writing.
Bio: After spending 8 years with platinum recording artists Spirit of the West, Linda McRae has released 3 critically acclaimed CD’s featuring such Canadian luminaries as Colin Linden, Gord Downie, Jim Cuddy, and Gary Fjellgaard. Linda has studied with Pat Pattison of the Berklee School of Music and is currently working in Nashville with Grammy Winning songwriter Jon Vezner.
