The ArtsWells festival brings together over 100 artists, musicians, performers, and the general public in a four-day celebration of art.

Catch the hit summer event, the ArtsWells Festival has developed the reputation of BC’s largest and best new Indie arts festival on the block. ArtsWells features over 50 musical acts, the 8th International One Minute Play Festival, free workshops ranging from songwriting, bellydancing, yoga, and djembe drumming, dance performances, a visual ArtWalk around the town of Wells, a puppet show, kids activities, artisans selling their wares, and discounts to local attractions like Barkerville Historic Town - where you can catch more ArtsWells musical acts just 8 km down the road.
Festival goers, volunteers, and artists alike return each year for the great hospitality, the historical gold-rush draw and natural beauty of Wells, as well as the ability to see and mingle with a wide array of amazing talent from across the country.
Volunteer for 12 hours to get a WEEKEND PASS for free, get fed, AND keep a souvenir hand-made ArtsWells Festival pendant as well as program recognition!

Helping with this year’s festival is a great opportunity to meet the artists, become part of the ArtsWells community, enjoy yummy vegetarian food in our performer/volunteer kitchen have a great time!

If you can only volunteer a short shift 4-6 hours, you will be entitled to a free day pass and one meal per shift. We always appreciate extra help!

Volunteer Positions Include: site/stage set-up, stage managers, decoration, sign making, security, ticket sales, merchandise sales, clean-up/strike, MC-ing, bartending, short performances between musical acts, performer check-in, kitchen help, first aid, equipment/supply pick ups/drop offs (in Quesnel, PG, WL/Vancouver, etc.), designated drivers, kids activities, performer/volunteer tent billeting in your yard, postering, cleaning up, your Services (we’re open to proposals), backrubs, & more!
